Jun 19, 2016 · I have tried and tried to change my DNS settings to use Googles DNS (8.8.8.8) and it will not stick. Even downloaded a free program to do it. I use the free program, and it makes Windows send out the side popup, saying the DNS was changed successfully , but it is not changed. You should now see your IP address, Gateway etc, fill in the fields with the required information. 8.Scroll down and you should see a DNS settings option. 9.Tap on that and enter the following DNS addresses: DNS 1 : 8.8.8.8 DNS 2 : 8.8.4.4 10. Click Save and return to your home screen.
